This is your time.
I will spend a moment to review your health history before each session. It is very important to tell me about any medications or change in your health. Discussing where you are physically and emotionally helps me tailor your bodywork session. I am trained to work with pregnancy and people living with cancer.
Always know you are in control.
You may decide whether or not you would like to talk during your session. Some clients want a break from discussing whatever is on their minds; others prefer to talk things out. Either way, it's okay. You always are in control of how you feel. Too much pressure? Let me know immediately!
Your privacy is respected at all times…
In most cases, the massage/bodywork techniques I use are performed with the client unclothed and massage oils or creams will be used. However, you always have the ultimate decision regarding the amount of clothing you prefer. You will be properly draped during the session.
Go ahead, ask!
I use traditional massage techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue and Acupressure. However I am trained to work with essential oils and healing work such as Reflexology, Reiki, Tui Na and CranioSacral therapies which may seem unfamiliar to you. Know that at any time, you can ask about your therapy.
How will I feel…?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity, which can last for days.Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water afterward.
How often should you get a massage?
I have regular clients who come in ranging from once a week to once every six weeks. Having a regular massage has many benefits…it keeps your body running smoothly.
….My aches and pains are literally gone at the end of the hour, and the effects last quite awhile. I teat myself to a massage about once a month and I look forward to my appointment....Thank you". -Shelby
